More info on my kontact setup(if it helps at all): I use a kolab server. My contacts and calendar are stored there. I have very many calendar problems, such as it forgets when I update some tasks but I'll try file separate bugs for that. If you need any more info, please let me know. This would be a nice bug to close before 4.4 official since its rather critical. This bug has existed for the entire 4.4 beta, rc1, rc2. I don't remember having this problem no 4.3 stable.
