Description art alexion 2010-01-23 20:57:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

This bug affects Amarok 2.2.2, although I believe it affected the prior release as well. Here is how to duplicate it.

* Amarok indexes my collection correctly grouping tracks and artists correctly.
* When I add a track to the playlist, say Crescent by John Coltrane, it gets added as Crescent by Robert Fripp. The correct track plays, but Wikipedia displays information about Robert Fripp.
* This is not an intermittent problem but seems to happen all of the time.

I have the same problem.
Comment 2 Myriam Schweingruber 2010-01-23 21:45:56 UTC
Hm, are your tracks tagged correctly?
Comment 3 art alexion 2010-01-23 22:15:31 UTC
Yes, and they are showing correctly in the collection pane, but wrong in the playlist pane. I can provide a screenshot showing the track in the collection pane indexed correctly but displaying wrong in the playlist and current track views.

Are there any dynamic playlists, playlist filters and/or playlist actions activated?
Comment 5 art alexion 2010-01-24 16:30:42 UTC
Dynamic playlists -- definitely not.
Playlist actions -- ? Not sure. That is, not intentionally. I don't see any settings for this in any of the menus or any of the tooltips.

A screenshot would be nice to have, indeed.

Sorry, this slipped from our attention. Is this still valid with Amarok 2.3.0 or Amarok 2.3.1, to be released next week?
Comment 9 art alexion 2010-05-29 17:23:52 UTC
Yes. The problem is still there.
Comment 10 Myriam Schweingruber 2010-05-29 18:00:52 UTC
Thank you for the feedback. It would be nice if you could test with Amarok 2.3.1 next week, too.
Comment 11 art alexion 2010-05-29 19:12:28 UTC
Will do.

This is an automated message from the triager:

Amarok 2.4.1 has been released on May 8 already. Could you please upgrade and test if you can still reproduce this bug?

Without feedback within a month we will close this bug as resolved.

Thank you for your understanding.
Comment 13 Myriam Schweingruber 2011-07-15 09:03:39 UTC
Closing for lack of feedback. Feel free to reopen if you can still reproduce this with Amarok 2.4.2 beta 1 or later and provide the necessary feedback.
