Description Janet 2010-01-23 17:45:28 UTC
Version: 1.3 (using 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-5.slh.2-sidux-686

When I drag a file onto a folder in dolphin this folder opens so that I can e.g. drop the file to one of its subfolders. But alas dolphin than stays in that directory so that I always have to use the back button to access the directory I came from. That's not so nice when you want to sort a lot of files into a special directory structure.

When I drag a file onto a folder I just want to access that folder *temporary* so I'd expect that after completing the task of dropping the file dolphin automatically goes back to the folder where I started. Konqueror in KDE3 did so.

In my eyes this behaviour is a bug - but if it's intended: could you please at least make it optional? To also leave an automatically opened folder automatically after a drag-and-drop action? It really is a matter of workflow.
