Description Hugh Urwin 2010-01-22 22:45:33 UTC
Application: kopete (0.99.90)
KDE Platform Version: 4.3.90 (KDE 4.3.90 (KDE 4.4 RC1))
Qt Version: 4.6.0
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31-18-generic i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 9.10

-- Information about the crash:
kde panel tray has been doing weird things on kubuntu 9.10 - kde 4.4 rc1 sometimes opera icon will just dissapear and this time it was kopetes icon that disappeared. Then there was a notice of an incoming message from knotify. When clicking on the View button it crashed Kopete. I restarted it, got another (the same as before actually) notice from knotify. Clicking on View crashed kopete again and so on.

 -- Backtrace:
Application: Kopete (kopete), signal: Segmentation fault

- If you can reproduce the crash at will (or you experience this regularly), can you install the "kdelibs5-dbg" and "kdenetwork-dbg" packages and post a complete backtrace here? (you can get more information at http://techbase.kde.org/User:DarioAndres/Basic_Guide_about_Crash_Reporting ) Thanks

well. It did it 4 or 5 times in a row (every time there was a highlighted
incoming message notify) then it just returned to normal without having to
either reboot or restart kde. It hadn't done it before but this was the
very first time I got a highlighted message. I upgraded to 4.4 rc2 this
morning so the best i can do about it now is to keep you posted if the
problem happens again
