Description Dominik George 2010-01-22 21:08:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Binary package hint: kdebase
When opening a plain text file from an URL, Konqueror switches to an editor mode (running Kate inside the content pane, if I am not mistaken).
When using the Search input box while in this editor mode, the sourcecode of the search page will be opened in the editor instead of Konqueror laoding and rendering the website.

Comment 1 m.wege 2010-01-22 21:41:52 UTC
I can confirm this using KDE 4.4 RC1
Comment 2 Burkhard Lück 2011-05-12 11:33:42 UTC
Checked this issue with Kubuntu 10.10 (kde 4.6.2) and master/branch 4.6 compiled from sources. If I open some scripts from http://www.davidfaure.fr/scripts/ they are opened in the kart part, using CTRL+F the Search input box is displaed and I can use the search feature properly.

Please try again with an up to date kde, thanks.

See comment #2. This has been fixed a while back.
