Description Thomas McGuire 2010-01-22 18:01:07 UTC
The main menu now has some entries that don't work anymore, or don't make sense:

- Work online/offline: Almost certainly doesn't work anymore
- Refresh Local IMAP Cache: Not implemented
- Check Mail In: Has useless submenu entry "Local Folders"

The expire and empty trash actions should also be checked if they still work.

Hello

I have tried to reproduce this bug but the only issue that i was able to reproduce was the "- Check Mail In: Has useless submenu entry "Local Folders"... I have create a patch which solves this issue... Thoma, if you or someone is able to reproduce the other issues then please let me know what are the exact steps so i will reproduce it and i will fix it... I will wait a few days, after that i will post the patch in the reviewboard...

Work online/offline works.
Check Mail: checking local folders (as of now) makes sense, this way you can sync the akonadi db with changes in your local folders, eg. after doing a sync between two computers or another mail client modifying your local folder directory. It should be excluded by automatic check though, but this is a resource configuration issue.
"As of now" because right now the maildir and mixedmaildir resource doesn't monitor changes in the file system, so the only way to get changes is to sync the account.

Let's close this for now, I don't have any concrete issues anymore.
I'm not happy with the "Check Mail" action appearing for Local Folders, but as Andras said, until the local resources implement updating, this has to stay...
I hope to have a look at the review request at some point as well.
