Description Mrugesh Karnik 2010-01-20 10:28:22 UTC
Version: 0.80.2 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 6", openSUSE 11.2)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31.5-0.1-pae

Kopete that ships with KDE 4 currently handles only either temporary, one time use status messages or ones that are explicitly saved in preferences.

Currently,
1. The status messages set in the main window, either by clicking the status icon on the status bar at the bottom, or by going to `change status' from the file menu, cannot be reused.
2. To save a status for reuse, it is necessary to open up the entire preferences window.

The above issues could be solved by simply adding a `Save' button in the small status editor window that pops up.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
