Make sure that attachment loading on demand works correctly for IMAP. This means that clicking on a message in the message list should not load the complete message, the attachments should not be loaded yet (depending on the attachment display strategy). When the user views or saves an attachment, then they should be loaded. KMail should show a progress bar in the progress manager when loading an attachment. The above was all available in KMail 1. As an additional bonus, there should be a setting in the IMAP resource whether or not to cache attachments. That would make it possible to have a disconnected IMAP mode, but with attachment loading on demand.
Changing priority, not a target for the first release.
Shouldn’t this be considered a task or a feature request instead of a bug?
Yes, but is it still valid for KDE 4.9.1?
I'm using KDE 4.9.3 and this is still an issue, I'm currently waiting to download a 30mb attachment when I only wanted to make a quick reply.
