Description georg 2010-01-18 17:37:47 UTC
Version: 2.2.2 (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I think the 1.4 way to change ratings (mouseover - hover - change) was quite convenient. Because now you are always running to the computer.

This is already implemented in the NowPlaying applet. Also, clicking twice (not double click) allows to rate in the playlist itself, provided you have the rating showing in your chosen layout. Hint: try the "Verbose" layout.

NowPlaying applet does just work if the song is currently playing. I also discovered "twice clicking", but I also discovered that there is quite a big risk for double click.

I don't think I'm going to get happy with amarok2 and just started testing alternatives or end up with the old 1.4 backport.

Well, our developers have only two hands and the day still only has 24 hours...
Comment 4 Ralf Engels 2013-03-01 13:54:08 UTC
We also have keyboard shortcuts to rate the current song.
Comment 5 Myriam Schweingruber 2013-03-01 16:44:23 UTC
Georg: does that satisfy you? Shortcuts are faster than any mouse action.
Comment 6 Myriam Schweingruber 2013-06-18 17:19:46 UTC
Closing for lack of feedback. Please use the keyboard shortcuts.
