Reason for that is simple, in l10n-kde4/fr/messages/extragear-graphics/digikam.po the message has status fuzzy, so you will of course see the english text.

Frederic, no need to report untranslated strings as the French team does not reach 100% anyway. Only report bad translations to bugzilla. For untranslated strings, please considere joining the French translation team in KDE.
