Description A.C.Heron 2010-01-17 19:19:08 UTC
Version: 0.3.0 (using KDE 4.3.3)
Compiler: GCC 4.3.2-r3
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

When too many tabs are open and their list does not fit the screen, Rekonq automatically scrolls the tabs panel to the left. Either to the start or until the active tab is at the right edge. When I manually scroll the list of tabs to the right, it scrolls everything back when I click a hyperlink, or something changes on the page, e.g. an image finishes loading.

Such behaviour is inconvenient when I need to switch constantly between several tabs at the end of the list. Could you add a checkbox to disable autoscrolling?

I also noticed this (annoying) behaviour some time ago, and IIRC I think this is a KDE/Qt tabbar issue, as arora and konqueror suffer from similar things.

changed severity from wishlist to normal, since this one is more like a bug instead of a wish :-)

please, ask Qt devs to change tabbar behaviour or implement api for this. rekonq, konqueror & arora just use QTabbar features for that
