Version: N/A (using KDE 4.3.3) Installed from: RedHat RPMs Hey, Got an idea... You know, if you paste a long text in the chat line konversation warns you about flooding adding a button there "Upload to Pastebin". Clicking on it, uploads to pastebin and sends the link back to the irc? What u think? Regards, Hasan Ceylan
Would be nice. The biggest problem is that it wouldn't be acceptable to hardcode any given pastebin (or even several) - if they go evil, or are filtered in some country, or die, distros would have to patch use, etc. However, distros package pastebin handler scripts like "pastebinit" these days, so what we could do is have a configurable setting for which script to call.
Yes, that would work. Another alternative is to create a settings page with a list of pastbin urls.
Doesn't Plasma have a paste service engine, so you don't need to hard code any provider? Additionally, it would be useful for images, too.
Yep, using the data engine sounds like a good idea.
This feature would be really nice! Thanks goes to everyone who tries implement this :)
