Well if you have unstable Internet connection then this is expected because Kopete will detect that you have lost connection and will disconnect the protocol and show error. If start Kopete from console you should see some error messages there.
Can you show more explicite message like "internet connection lost" or do 1 try reconnect in silent? Thanks
No error (or no displayed) with the offical client under windows.
I can confirm this. It happens when I'm offline. Kopete keeps showing messages "ICQ# disconnected" with content "unknown error". Its good once to inform me, but not so goot when it shows every ~30 seconds.. Second thing is that this messages cannot be disabled in kopete notifications settings. I disabled all there, bud it still shows and plays sound. I found that this notification is classified as "critical error" by disabling sound part of notification of some ones in "kde global notifications" setting. I supposed that all notifications belonged to kopete should be able to setup in kopete notifications setting. Thanks :) (PS: I like KDE, but in the last time there are huge amount of very small things like this, but they really make user experience very bad. Yes huge bugs causing crashes is maybe more important, but I think that one crash weekly caused by change of theme is much less confusing that bugs like this one..)
