Description Sabine Faure 2010-01-14 00:15:25 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.2
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

- Launch Kontact and go to KOrganizer
- Click on the 'New Event' button
- Enter information (title,location, time...)
- Check the 'Reminder' check box and set the time to 1 min.
- Click on the 'Advanced...' button
- An 'Edit Reminders' dialogue appears, in its 'Type' section select the 'Send email' radio button.
- Click on 'Ok'

There should only be an email sent to the default email address (the one set as default in Kmail: settings/configure Kmail/Identities) whereas atm an email is sent and at the same time a display reminder appears in Kontact eventhough this option was not selected.

Akonadi-ports Branch, Svn Rev 1074068

Currently the code for sending email is located inside the AlarmDialog in korgac, so the right fix is to extract this functionality and call either the dialog or the notification code (email, sound etc.) from within KOAlarmClient

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korgac (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
