The last step (Step 6 of 6) of the "First time to use KMyMoney" wizard lets you choose a file to save your new finance database to.

However, when you click the little file dialog icon next to the file name line edit, it brings up a dialog that only lets you choose an existing file rather than choose a location & filename for a new file.
