Version: 1.12.3 (using 4.3.3 (KDE 4.3.3), Gentoo) Compiler: i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-gentoo-r1 I currently leave messages on server as I read my email from two different computers in different locations (home and work basically). However I'd like to selectively delete from the server emails I receive from some mailing lists and family and so on when I am at home as I have no need for most of these at work. Conversely I could imaging that someone deleting messages from the server may want to leave some there occasionally. Although I guess this would be more convoluted as the messages would have to be filtered before the deletion phase.
So basically, your point here is to be able to apply some filtering (that is to download a mail and eg move it to a folder, mark as read etc.) and delete it on server (regardless the global setting - keep mail on server after downloading), correct? If so, then I guess your idea boils down to having a filter action 'Delete on server' in the (normal/non-POP) filters dialogue - am I right?
Moreover, if so, then this is a duplicate of Bug 50176.
