Description hcoohb 2010-01-07 16:27:44 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Archlinux Packages

That would be great to be able to limit the number of mails downloaded with IMAP and dIMAP.

The example I think of is the mail application of the iphone.
For example we only see the ## new mails.

The usecase is:
Imagine, I want to sync mails with IMAP but I have a slow internet connection so I cannot download the 4000 mails which take more than 1Go on my gmail account.

It's actually a (valid and interesting IMHO) feature which could be used by other resources. That said, it requires support in the Akonadi server first, so reassigning there.

Sadly, this has not been implemented yet, but it is on the roadmap now.
