Description Yuval Hager 2010-01-03 11:56:33 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Suddenly (maybe started on 1/1/2010?) I can't see any date in the date column - completely empty.

This happens in all folders, both local and dimap ones.

Also, the date field in mail headers in empty too.

When I look at the message source (View -> View source) the date is present.

Problem isn't present here. I'm using Archlinux and KDE 4.3.4

On another machine it works correctly (also Arch).
What is weirder, is that another user on the same machine does see the date column properly, so I am thinking maybe it is the result of some crash or something.
Can anything be done, or just delete my config files, reconfig and mark this bug as INVALID?

I am keeping my config as is in the meantime, in case you would like to test or check something.

This is a screenshot of the problem - notice how the date is completely empty both in the message list, and in the message itself.

I have same problem since some time now.
It is only today that by chance I find this report with exact same issue.

I'm on Arch with latest KDE

It is not a bug.
In Kmail configuration for date format, personalized format was selected with no pattern.
Using regular date format solves the problem.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
