Version: (using KDE 4.3.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Mandriva RPMs I open a new bug because nothing happens for several bug reports about the same thing (even from amarok devs) This bug brings problems for Amarok, Dolphin, Konqueror, K3b, that are all of them very used applications .... https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208187 is marked as resolved ! (but only as a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56800) after having staid unconfirmed for 2 months https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=203195 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197485 are always unconfirmed and not https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188284 from march 2009 was marked as new in may 2009 kio_audiocd don't refresh the content of an audiocd when you eject a previous one and insert a new one!!!! the only workaround is to kill kio_audiocd before inserting a new audioCD... not very friendly indeed, and not easy to understand for a beginner. A bit of angriness : If this bug must remain as it is, would you tell to other devs to explain clearly this workaround in the user's Manuals of Dolphin, Konqueror, K3b, Amarok ....?
I just fixed this, now it refreshes the content if click on the reload/F5 button
*** Bug 197485 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I would say it is partially fixed : With KDE 3.5.10 it was automatically done ! Users must know now that they have to use the reload button (in Dolphin or konqueror) ; but there is no refresh button neither for K3b nor for Amarok, and it's less user friendly and surprising to use the F5 button on the keyboard (that's not written in any documentation)!
PS pressing F5 on the keyboard doesn't refresh the content of the audiocd for Amarok... After having changed three times the audiocd in the dvdreader I get three kio_audiocd processus running !!!
btw don't open a new bugreport because some other are not fixed, this just overload bugzilla. Some commits have been done yesterday regarding this bug, i will provide you a test rpm soon *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 56800 ***
