Description John W Hibdon 2009-12-26 14:56:22 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

Each time I attempt to boot into Kubuntu Lucid 10.04 plasma-desktop crashes after login. It will also crash if I do ALT F2 and run plasma-desktop

This is a fresh install with only synaptic and firefox install added.

Nvidia 195 Driver installed. OS will not boot at all with standard NV driver or any other version of Nvidia Driver.
Comment 1 Dario Andres 2009-12-26 16:53:23 UTC
- Which KDE SC version does that Kubuntu version provide ?
- If you can reproduce the crash at will (or you experience this regularly), can you install the "kdelibs5-dbg" and "kdebase-workspace-dbg" packages and post a complete backtrace here? (you can get more information at http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports ) Thanks
Comment 2 John W Hibdon 2009-12-26 20:41:32 UTC
It is running KDE Platform Version 4.3.85 or KDE 4.4

Application: Plasma Workspace (plasma-desktop), signal: Segmentation fault

The current source language is "auto; currently c".
