When forwarding a message with already an attachment in it to an user with Outlook Express the original attachment is lost. 

When forwarding the same mail to antoher KMail user he is able to see the attachment.

At least never had a problem with that. Could you perhaps investgate furthe=
r=20
where exactely the problem is by looking on the message source or forward m=
e=20
an example mail that does not work?

Ok I checked the mail you sent me. Sometimes it is useful to have a local=
=20
network with all kind of Windows from 3.1 up to ME running :-)

The problem is by no means related to forwarding with KMail. Microsoft=20
Outlook Express (I tested 4.72 and 5) is not even able to display the=20
attachment of the original mail if the reciever would have recieved it=20
directely. Although the mails is also created by some Microsoft Software.

However if I change manually the Content-Type from "application/ms-tnef" to=
=20
for example "application/word" it is displayed. To me it looks like that is=
=20
intended to hide this information by Outlook.

You can be sure that KMail has no such hidden features.

I guess you should better direct your problem report to the Outlook authors.
