Description cfunghi 2009-12-23 20:28:56 UTC
Version: Version 0.10.0 (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

After editing GPS coordinates for some pictures some days ago, I get an error message today when I want to apply coordinates to some more pictures:
Dialog Header is "digikam3rdparty.free.fr - java-script" and error text is "Max. number of API calls per day reached!".

How can I go on with geolocating my pictures?

Johannes,

It become urgent to finalize new googlemaps/marble widget (:=)))...

Do you need help to speed-up coding ?

cfungi,

Anyway, I recommend to use digiKam 1.0.0 and kipi-plugins 1.0.0

I hope to be able to spend some time on it during the next few days. I just switched to a new development machine ;-)

I will let you know once I figure out how to split the workload ;-)

Does that mean that a new map widget is in work and I do not need to create a new bug to request using marble (with openstreetmap) there instead of google maps?
Comment 7 caulier.gilles 2009-12-25 20:00:19 UTC
Yes,

Code is under construction by Michael, there :

http://websvn.kde.org/branches/extragear/graphics/digikam/worldmapwidget2/

There is a test program if you want to take a look...
