Version: 3.6-alpha2 (using 4.3.85 (KDE 4.3.85 (KDE 4.4 Beta2)), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31-17-generic When I right-click on the system tray icon for "kmix" (to bring up the context menu) and select "Show Mixer Window", the master volume pop-up (same one as when you left-click on the icon) appears in the upper left corner of my screen. I can still get the mixer window by clicking on "Mixer" in the pop-up. In this case, the context menu text changes to "Hide Mixer Window", but still brings up the same master volume pop-up in the upper left corner of the screen. It seems that the context menu text is correctly responding to the presence / absence of the mixer window, but the context menu action is incorrectly causing the wrong window to appear.
