Please attach the output from "solid-hardware list details" while the camera is plugged in.
As well, please discard the device notifier and check the entry in digikam's "Import" menu. Is there an entry for your camera, does it start the download window?

Your camera is not a USB mass storage device, you need gphoto2 to access it?

I'm sorry, I can't test this at the moment, as the camera is away for repair (pixel error on the sensor). I will test as soon as I have it back.

I know. It was recognized as an "USB Imaging device".

Got my camera back. Now everything works. I had many package updates from my distribution. Maybe one of them fixed the problem.
