Description leroy_tennison 2009-12-21 05:59:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

Not only do the walls seem to expand far too slow (reported already) but touching a ball seems to consume lives where it didn't before and the bounce patterns seem to have become more aggressive (lives get consumed more frequently). Request either reverting to former behavior or implementing difficulty levels which include the former difficulty.

Version 0.10 has different difficulties. (Easy, Normal,Hard) Would be nice to get comment if these difficulties are ok.
Comment 4 leroy_tennison 2010-04-13 06:56:42 UTC
My apologies for not replying sooner, where/how do I get the version of kbounce which has difficulty levels in order to test it? And, BTW, thank you very much for responding to my request.

Hi, i added the difficulties in the "trunk" version of kbounce. This version
comes out with KDE SC 4.5. Do you need binaries to test or are you able to
build the game for yourself?

Thanks for the reply, my success in building binaries has been
inconsistent, I'll try if you point me to the source code but I may need
the binary. Is KDE 4.5 required or will it run on 4.3? I have the
latter on OpenSuse 11.2 but if I need 4.5 I'll have to locate it.

This will help you (but 11.2 update repo needed):

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/jobermayr/openSUSE_11.2/

Please tell me when you have it. I will remove the package then ...

Hi "trunk" means that this comes with KDE 4.5. I use Kubuntu on my machine
the only thing i could do is to build you a static binary for a 64bit
system. Or we have to wait for the official kde 4.5 beta :-(
Sorry for that ... btw here are the sources:
websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdegames/kbounce/

Thank you. I went into the i586 directory and downloaded all the
kbounce rpms (even though I probably don't need the debug ones). I
assume that's all I need, right?

Yes. You need only kbounce-4.3.5_trunk1114127-3.1.i586.rpm. The other packages are current drivers with support for Kernel modesetting for GPUs.
