Version: (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources I am not able to start a window in a specific virtual desktop by assigning special window setting. In my case, the only condition i require to match is a substring in the window title (others window features are set as 'unimportant'). the problem lies in the ssh session. Here is the relevant part of my zsh script: rsh dyn@localhost '(export DISPLAY=":0.0" ; \ dbus-launch /usr/bin/konqueror --caption Physics )' As the owner of the x-session (rather than dyn) enters the command /usr/bin/konqueror --caption Physics position in the virtual desktop is correctly set.
I have just discovered that, if Konqueror has been set to start showing the introduction page, window is placed in the required virtual desktop. That is not the case, if konqueror starts showing a blank page or its bookmarks page. Any ideas? By the way, i would like current virtual desktop not to be switched, as a window is opened in a different virtual desktop. Thank you ---P
Please note: this behavior seems to be unrelated to ssh (as previously stated). That is, even when the user is the owner of the xsession, if konqueror starts with a blank page or the bookmarks page, it does not comply with virtual desktop switching, as required by its special window settings. ---P

No response; assuming it was fixed since then.
