Version: 1.2 (using KDE 4.3.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages After setting custom colors in konversation, the inactive area of the scroll bar is a weird different color. This color can't be set in konversation. I expected it to be the same color as it is in all my other windows. The attached screenshots will hopefully spell out my case more clearly. screenshot: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/36249285/screenshots.png original ubuntu bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/konversation/+bug/490208 Info from ubuntu post: jt@shark .config $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 jt@shark .config $ apt-cache policy konversation konversation: Installed: 1.2-0ubuntu3 Candidate: 1.2-0ubuntu3 Version table: *** 1.2-0ubuntu3 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Sun Nov 29 22:01:38 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/konversation InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: konversation 1.2-0ubuntu3 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-15.50-generic-pae SourcePackage: konversation Uname: Linux 2.6.31-15-generic-pae i686
This may be a bug in the Plastique style engine rather than Konversation - can you please check whether the same problem occurs with the Oxygen style engine?
You are correct. When changing to the Oxygen style the scrollbars look normal. Changing back to Plastique makes the scrollbars appear odd again. Would you mind moving this bug to the correct place?
Would if I could, of course - but the Plastique style engine is actually bundled with Qt, who have their bug tracker here: http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa (Plastique was their Qt4 port of KDE 3's original Plastik engine).
Thanks for your help, you've been very informative :) I will attempt to report this to QT.
