Description D.Slain 2009-12-18 11:00:51 UTC
Version:           2.1.1 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 6", openSUSE 11.2)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31.5-0.1-default

I have tested removing Amarok and deleting the "~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok/" folder before the re-install.

There are 1 or more songs in the playlist.
When amarok is started from scratch (not running as a process)
The first song chosen from start-up WILL play.
Every song after that either will not play at all...
OR will wait ~1-10 min before playing.

Whether letting the songs consecutively play or manually choosing the next song, Amarok still doesn't play the song OR has a hang/wait time.

I am using Gstreamer... all songs are MP3... and I have run in "amarok --debug" mode with no errors being thrown.

The following happens just as the freeze/hang time starts (thrown out by "amarok --debug"):

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
amarok: BEGIN: void CurrentTrack::dataUpdated(const QString&, const QHash<QString, QVariant>&)
amarok: END__: void CurrentTrack::dataUpdated(const QString&, const QHash<QString, QVariant>&) - Took 0.00018s
amarok: BEGIN: virtual void CurrentTrack::constraintsEvent(Plasma::Constraints)
amarok:    placing album at X: 11.5  and Y: 13.5
amarok: END__: virtual void CurrentTrack::constraintsEvent(Plasma::Constraints) - Took 0.018s
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure how useful this output is, but hopefully it helps, looks like plasma is possibly causing a problem? But I don't want to speculate, I would like someone to please let me know if I have done something wrong or if there is a problem.
