Version of the application: 0.3
KDE Version: 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4)
Qt Version: 4.6.0
Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-trunk-amd64 x86_64
Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux unstable (sid)

What I was doing when the application crashed:
1) kdm
2) login to kde
3) plasma-desktop crashes
4) other functionality works (workspace effects, application starting, ...)

Do you know in which commit? Would it be feasible to backport it to 4.3.4?

It seems to be r1062504, and it happens on my system with hal 0.5.14-1. A workaround is to downgrade hal to 0.5.13-6.
