Description Bjarne Juul Pasgaard 2009-12-15 11:35:40 UTC
Application that crashed: kontact
Version of the application: 4.3.2
KDE Version: 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2)
Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31-16-generic i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 9.10

What I was doing when the application crashed:
What I was doing:
1) A mail arrived on one of my IMAP accounts. I viewed it.
2) I created a folder on another IMAP account and moved the mail to the new folder (from one IMAP account to another).
3) I was browsing around in my IMAP folder.
4) Switched to view the contents of the newly created IMAP folder in step 2.
5) Attempted to view the mail that was just moved to that folder.
6) Kmail crashed.

I realize that many other similar crashes have been reported already, but I wasn't able to find a stack dump in the other reports that looked like the one I'm reporting here. I hope the stack dump I'm reporting can help you track down the cause.

This looks like bug 180741. Can you check
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=180741#c41 ? Thanks
Comment 2 Bjarne Juul Pasgaard 2009-12-15 13:45:22 UTC
Yes, I agree that the description of bug 180741 looks similar to the one I've reported, but the backtrace is not identical, I believe. I forgot to mention that I was using viewing the mail in the preview window. It is, however, the only time I've come across this crash. After restarting kmail, the crash no longer occurs.
