Description xwant 2009-12-14 22:07:27 UTC
Version: 0.8.7 (using 3.5.10, Debian Package 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-2.1 (squeeze/sid))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32

Not considered a feature for the wish-list as this can render a system nearly unusable.
When recording from a DVB-T source (queued timers) kaffeine does not give a warning when the file system is full. It happily continue with the next queued timer even when there is no space left when the recording is scheduled to start (leaves 0 length files)!

At least a check at the beginning of the recording should be done for the expected amount of space necessary to complete the record (or the known lowest limit because if not even that is free the recording will fail). Also a warning when a recording could not be completed because the space was used up during the recording.
It's not to easy to find the best behaviour as the space on the file system can change massively during recording through other events but continuing without a warning when there is no point in recording is just stupid.

This bug is too old, for a version < 1.3. Closing it, as the latest version is 2.0.1, and lots of things changed since version 1.2.x, including the usage of VLC as video display backend, support for DVB-T2 and ISDB-T via libVLC, etc.

You may check on the upstream version and see if the bug was solved. The README file contains instructions about how to compile it. You can find it at our git repository:

If you find similar issues with version 2.0.1, please re-open.
