Version: 1.12.4 (using 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4), Debian packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31-1-amd64 I've set up about a dozen profiles over time, each with a unique mail address. Through several config migrations and roaming across machines, it seems that kmail config reading creates an inconsistency: The profiles are shown without problem in the settings, but the message editor only shows an input line instead of a combo box. (There used to be a combo box in previous versions.) The effect is that when I want to switch between profiles I've got to manually change the from address, which doesn't autocomplete, so the chances of typing the address the wrong way is significant. I'm sure that the from address selection should invariably always be a(n editable) combo box, so no matter how much my config has degenerated into a binary blob, it should still work.
I've mixed up the identity field with the from field, since for some reason the identity field was not shown anymore. When it is shown, everything is ok. This is a separate issue which I've got to check first. Sorry for the noise.
