I love the way the last version of KDE is on top in the drop
down menu, but the last version in the application version is at the
bottom, both on top would be much more consistent.

Still valid. I think the release team controls how the version numbers get populated?

The version sorting is controlled by Bugzilla itself, changing this would require code changes. I've had a look through the code and it looks like it might be controlled by https://invent.kde.org/websites/bugs-kde-org/-/blob/kde-5.0/Bugzilla/Version.pm#L87
