we have the famous :
...try a zooming out for a broader look

this is the case since yesterday

at the same time i have the same pb with Geotag (geotag software)

where does this pb comes from ? from your map server from google ?

The last time I encountered this problem, it was because google though I was a bot and blacklisted my IP, I couldn't use satellite view even in another browser and if I tried to get a picture ( for exemple http://khm1.google.com/kh/v=50&x=259&y=175&z=9&s= ) I obtain an error saying that I was a "bad bot" or something like that.

is there any page at google site for an explanation of this ?

only at the error page you found when this happening (last year you had a change to enter a captha to prove your not a bot but not anymore). I usualy got this problem when I'm geotagging lot of picture with the satellite view on.

i reopen this bug report because the pb is still there and very boring

i tried
a direct request to google
http://khm0.google.com/kh?v=99&hl=en&x=0&y=0&z=1&s=

then i have this page :

Google
  Sorry...
We're sorry...
... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.
See Google Help for more information.

this page redirects to

http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/answer.py?answer=86640

then
i wonder this :

With gpssync i made a request for a satellite view through a dikam map server.
Is there anything requesting through digikam map server making my pc looking a robot or a virus ?

this pb occurs each time within 2 or 3 geotaggings !
mainly i use map view to spot roughly then i use satellite view to spot accurerately
