Description Michael Schuerig 2001-03-06 23:12:49 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: khelpcenter
Version: KDE 2.1.0
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Debian Packages
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010219 (prerelease)
OS: Linux 2.4.1 i686
OS/Compiler notes:

As a user I'd like to access as much documentation as possible from a single place.
My distribution (Debian) keeps docs in /usr/doc I keep additional docs in /usr/local/doc and there may be other places.

Also some of the doc files are in formats other than text or html. Luckily htdig is able to index them as well.

With a large base of docs it will become a necessity to restrict the search to specific parts (directories) only.

The ability to find and display additional documentation on the system would be very nice, as
would being able to search it with the indexing. Confirming this for the wishlist.

khelpcenter is now able to both display and index man and info pages, so I guess this bug can be marked as fixed.
