Version: 0.8.1 (using KDE 4.3.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Mandriva RPMs Hello, in previous version of ksnapshot, I believe it was enable to create a screenshot only selecting zone with mouse. Now, one has to type on Enter also. It is less ergonomic than before. However, typing on Enter can be also an advantage in some cases. So could you add an option to disable Enter touch when one make screenshot? Thanks
If you select the area with the mouse, after you can move and resize the selection. When you've done you can press enter to confirm the screenshot of that region. IMHO I don't know if adding an option for disable this feature is a good idea: ksnapshot interface should stay easy to use.
There should be separate "OK" and "Cancel" buttons, forcing users to use the keyboard is really bad. Think tablet PCs with only a virtual keyboard.
I've checked this in kde-4.4.1 in fedora-12 - you can double-click to the selected region to make screenshot.
The original bug report is solved: you don't have to hit Enter. You can double-click instead. As Christoph mentioned it would be nice to have Ok and Cancel buttons. Should this bug be closed now?
Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years and I will be closing this bug. Spectacle is the replacement for ksnapshot now. Please test again and file a new bug for Spectacle if you still have issues. Thank you!
