Description Majin Sniper 2009-12-04 10:52:42 UTC
Version: 2.2.1 (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

Steps to reproduce:
- As non-root user
- use menu playlist -> export playlist ...
- selecting for example "/test" as filename

Result: Writing the playlist failed due to missing write permissions. Amarok does silently ignore that, so the user thinks all has gone well.

Expeced reult: Amarok displays a warning or error message like "Writing to /test.m3u failed due to missing write permissions, please select another location.". Maybe the save as dialog can be shown again.

Remark: In my case the reason of failure was not as obvious as in the example, because I was logged in as another user as usual and I tried to write in my normal user's home directory. So I first thought exporting playlists was completly broken.

2nd Remark: I use the german translation, so the exact names of the menu entries may be a bit different.
