Description Misha Labjuk 2009-11-26 21:13:58 UTC
Version: 1.12.3 (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Message source showing in ISO-8859 encoding.
Messages in 8 bit not ascii encoding incorrectly displayed.
Comment 1 Vovochka 2009-12-23 04:17:05 UTC
Also as utf-8 messages. A little bit annoying.
Comment 2 Jakub Januszkiewicz 2011-09-18 11:21:54 UTC
I have the same problem in KMail 4.7.1. A message is in UTF-8 and is displayed correctly, but UTF-8 characters are garbage when message source is displayed.
Comment 3 Jakub Januszkiewicz 2011-09-18 18:42:50 UTC
Re comment #2: by "garbage" I mean for each multi-byte UTF-8 character, each byte seems to be displayed as an individual character, in ISO 8859-1 or 8859-2.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
