Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Playback never starts. 

Fresh Ubuntu 9.10 Install. Amarok installed with the software center. 

I have solved the issue by installing an additional package. Commandline: "apt-get install libxine1-ffmpeg".

Perhaps I should post this bug to Ubuntu developers am not sure. Works perfectly when libxine1-ffmpeg is installed however.

My humble guess is that if the Amarok installer would include libxine1-ffmpeg the bug should be eliminated.
