Version:           0.80.2 (using KDE 4.3.3)
Installed from:    openSUSE RPMs

I'd love to have chat window tabs on the side.. 

Currently the only placement options I have are top and bottom..

Left side would be ideal.. but side in general would be great.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
