Description Jaroslav Reznik 2009-11-25 15:51:31 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

In Fedora we use /var/run/ppp/resolv.conf instead of /etc/ppp/resolv.conf that uses KPPP. I'm in touch with Fedora PPP maintainer why they changed this behaviour but he don't know as it's quite old change - no one realized it by now.

The fix is really easy - allow user/distro to specify this path (build time, run time through custom config file or in sources). Currently we solve it as patch but it's suboptimal solution. What do you think? Which way would be the best one?

This project is unfortunately no longer maintained.

If a new maintainer wants to step up and take care, the project is archived here:

https://invent.kde.org/unmaintained/kppp

You can just clone it in your private namespace on invent.kde.org and if you have started to work on it and fixed/implemented something get it reviewed and the project unarchived.

Sorry for the inconveniences.
