What I was doing when the application crashed:
Qt: 4.5.3
KDE: 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2)
Dolphin: 1.3
Debian GNU/Linux 2.6.30-2-amd64 (Squeeze)

When I open Dolphin it randomly crashes, when it does, this is usually within a few seconds after opening it.

What I was doing when the application crashed:
I wanted to cut/paste a directory. In dolphin: cut directory, browse to mounted vfat, crash.
Nepomuk & Strigi were enabled (although strigi failed to initialize)

Disabling Strigi (leaving Nepomuk enabled) resolves the issue.

Your original report and your comment 5 are bug 208921 which should be fixed in KDE 4.3.5 and later.

Your comment 3 is a different crash. If you upgrade to KDE 4.4 and you can still reproduce this, please open a new bug report about that issue. Thanks!

ps: Comment 7 is incorrect, I also had to disable nepomuk.
