Application that crashed: dragon Version of the application: 2.0 KDE Version: 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2) Qt Version: 4.5.2 Operating System: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic x86_64 Distribution: Ubuntu 9.10 What I was doing when the application crashed: Opened a QuickTime video file created by ScreenToaster (screentoaster.com) on Mac OSX. Dragon Player and Kaffeine both immediately crash on opening (both using Xine?) Installed the libxine-dbg package and regenerated crash report, which then went to 'useful' (three stars). Will try to upload the video file if I can. -- Backtrace: Application: Dragon Player (dragon), signal: Segmentation fault [Current thread is 1 (Thread 0x7f64e5eb2750 (LWP 4686))] Thread 10 (Thread 0x7f64cec9e910 (LWP 4687)): #0 pthread_cond_timedwait@@GLIBC_2.3.2 () at ../nptl/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/x86_64/pthread_cond_timedwait.S:220 #1 0x00007f64e4abac91 in metronom_sync_loop (this=0x29a9770) at metronom.c:870 #2 0x00007f64dfbffa04 in start_thread (arg=<value optimized out>) at pthread_create.c:300 #3 0x00007f64e2e1d7bd in clone () at ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/x86_64/clone.S:112 #4 0x0000000000000000 in ?? This looks indeed like a Xine issue. - Can you try to reproduce the same video on "gxine" or "xine-ui" (other Xine-enabled players) to see if they crash/close too ? If they do, then we should report this to the Xine developers. Regards
I can confirm that gxine also segfaults on the same content.
Then this needs to be reported at http://bugs.xine-project.org/ The problem is that they probably need the testcase video in order to check it, can you attach it into their bugtracker ? Thanks
