Note that calling your report ". . . ." and only saying you were using Ark makes it virtually impossible to fix the problem. Can you properly say what you were doing (eg what archive format you were using, whether you closed Ark while it was extracting the file)? Besides, it'd be good if you could install the debug packages for Qt and kdeutils.
