SVN commit 1090623 by jmueller:

Upload gps location of video files. Unfortunately this information is gone after video processing, but visible before. I need to find out if this is a picasawb bug or not.

Comment 15 Philippe ROUBACH 2014-01-11 12:15:35 UTC
opensuse 13.1 , kde 4.12 , digikam 3.5

still valid
Comment 16 Philippe ROUBACH 2014-03-27 14:32:01 UTC
digikam 3.5

i made this experiment :

i add a mp4 containing gps data in digikam album . digikam does not display any geotag .
then
- i export it to picasaweb with picasaweb export
then
in picasaweb album there is a geotag (Latitude: 44.851000° N , Longitude: 0.622900° O)

- i add in digikam a geotag (now there is a geotag in the mp4 and in digikam db)
then
i export it to picasaweb with picasaweb export
then
in picasaweb album there is a geotag (Latitude: 44.851000° N , Longitude: 0.622900° O) <- the same as the fisrt case

conclusion : in case the mp4 contains a geotag you can workaround the pb
