- Did you enabled some special debug method using the "kdebugdialog" tool ?
- Does Kontact crash again if you repeat the situation you described?
Thanks
Comment 2 Tobias Trus 2009-11-24 21:43:00 UTC
Kontact crashes mostly on startup.
I'm not allowed to report the startup-bug because of to few information.

This was the first time it crashes on closing. I will try to reproduce it.
The kdebugtool may have some "special" settings because I'm trying to sync
akonadi with an internet syncml-server, but it didn't work so far.

I tried a lot of settings (akonadi, syncmlclient plugin for akonadi,
addressbook plugin for akonadi, kdebugdialog...) so I'm not sure which
combination caused this crash.

Maybe there's a dependency with the startup crashes, so here's the trace:

Application: Kontact (kontact), signal: Segmentation fault

The second backtrace you posted is the crash being tracked at bug 193514.
It seems different to the first one you posted so I can't really tell if it is the same issue... Regards

This crash report is at least 3 years old and there were no further comments or status updates since then.

Therefore we believe that this crash is already fixed in recent KDE 4 versions or the backtrace is no longer applicable to the current KDE 4 sources.

If the crash still happens with a recent KDE version (4.10.5 or 4.11), please add an updated backtrace or provide steps to reproduce. For more information, see http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports
