Yes, that workaround was probably this time used (I'm not 100% sure). It's not that problem, it crash with or without work around (important is, it crash when kernel makefile is processed, not that backtrace)

This still looks like the libc2.10 bug, its crashing inside libc code called from a destructor which most probably did a free at that point. Please try to unset MALLOC_CHECK_ in your shell before starting kdevelop, that'll not run through the checks at all and thus should avoid the race-condition completely.

It still crashes deep within libc6, so nothing we can fix. And this one shows backtrace from KDE plugin loading code. One possible cause might be a binary incompatibility between the kdevplatform libs you're using and one of the plugins that are installed from a different kdevelop/kdevplatform version. Also you're missing debug symbols for Qt, kdelibs and libc6 which make the backtrace less useful. I'm sorry but we can't do anything about this, its rather clearly a setup issue on your system.
