Description Dima Ryazanov 2009-11-19 21:29:58 UTC
Version: 2.2.1 (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Amarok does not display many of the tracks in my collection. It displays the artist and the album - but the album is empty. (See the screenshot.) Adding the album to the playlist doesn't do anything. I've done a full rescan of the collection, but it didn't make a difference.

I can play those tracks if I select them by browsing the files.

Did you restart Amarok after the full rescan?
Comment 3 Dima Ryazanov 2009-11-19 21:46:43 UTC
Just restarted it - same problem.

I just compiled Amarok from git, rescanned the collection, and restarted Amarok. The bug is still there.

Changing version and status

I have read and discussed this briefly on a current mailing list thread and it appears as if some patches to the git version are available. Might you be able to try them out since I do not presently have the git version installed? If not, I've offered to install the git version and give it a shot, but that would take me a little time.

There's a patch you can try, available here: http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/amarok/2009-December/009770.html
Comment 8 Dima Ryazanov 2009-12-14 18:22:45 UTC
Sorry, I've already deleted all Amarok settings, so the tracks came back. I can try the patch if this starts happening again...
Comment 9 Jeff Mitchell 2009-12-14 19:25:37 UTC
Nah, if that made the tracks come back, different problem anyways. Going to close this since you can't really help debug it anymore.
