Version: amarok-2.2.1-1.fc11.x86_64 (using KDE 4.3.3) OS: Linux Installed from: Fedora RPMs I've loaded my song collection into amarok. I have some duplicate files (same track, same md5, different directory and/or name) All the files are loaded into the playlist. But a right-click on one of the duplicate files (in the playlisy) does not show all the normal options. Only the following options are possible. (translated to English) - stop playing after the current song - add track to the que - remove from playlist - edit track details All the cover-options are gone. Also the cover is not shown in the playlist. When playing the song the cover at 'current track' is not shown, but the cover is shown in the 'albums' section.
You need to do a full rescan, then restart Amarok. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 214599 ***
Full rescan and restart doesn't solve this problem.
Sorry, my bad, didn't read your description in depth.
Is this still valid in Amarok 2.2.2 or in current git?
Checked with version 2.2.2 (fedora build)(amarok-2.2.2-3.fc12.x86_64) How to reproduce: - Clear playlist - Add a file from 'local music' (with artist and album information) to the playlist. - The new entry in the playlist has 'album' actions. (show cover, retrieve cover, use own cover, remove cover) - Clear the playlist again - Now add the same file from 'files' to the playlist. - Now this entry has no 'album' actions. Also the cover disappeared. So all files added from the 'files' overview don't have album actions and won't show the cover in the playlist.
OK, thanks for the clarification. We are currently writing a new file browser that should solve the issue
Amarok 2.3.1 will be release next week, is this still valid?
Closing for lack of feedback, should be already solved in Amarok 2.3.1
