Description Georg Greve 2009-11-18 16:42:22 UTC
Version: 4.3.2 (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Kmail / Kontact is fairly wasteful with the display of the mail folder lists, which is painful especially on laptops, as it takes away space from the actual message display.

Suggestions that should be fairly easy to implement:

 (a) reduce white space to the left of the folder tree to 1 pixel
 (b) reduce the horizontal dots to 1/2 instead of 3/4
 (c) the branch should start below the dot, not the icon

A suggestion that might be a bit more difficult:

 (d) instead of columns the number of unread/total mails should be displayed just behind the folder name

A mockup with (a) to (c) semi-completed is attached. The mockup also contains (d) for some folders to exemplify.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
